ORAFON HFC-417a is non ozone depleting and medium Global Warming Potential. It’s non azeotropic blend of HFC refrigerants R-125, R-134a and HC refrigerant R-600. They used as a direct drop in replacement for R-22 in equipment that has fixed (capillary) or adjustable (TXV) expansion systems with evaporation temperatures above -10°C. It is a direct replacement for R-22 in general climatization equipment. Easy, direct and efficient. With no need to adjust the expansion valve or change the system’s original oil. They have used in General commercial and domestic air conditioning systems, Heat pumps, Splits / Multi splits / Cassette, Rooftop Units, Supermarket chilled goods equipment, Food storage, Cold chambers and Refrigerated transport.

ORAFON HFC-417a that non azeotropic. To be better to charge it as liquid to prevent fractionation (changes in the designed refrigerant composition) but it can also be charged as gas. Insituations where vapor would normally be charged into a system, a valve should be installed in the charging line to flash liquid from the cylinder into vapor.

ORAFON HFC-417a compatible with Mineral Oil, Alkylbenzene and  Polyolester (POE) lubricant to ensure complete miscibility between oil and refrigerant. Miscibility is important for oil return to the compressor, especially in large systems with long runs of piping.
